Barney Lake Stewardship

Visit a forested section of this Conservation Area right in the middle of Mount Vernon. Help control invasive plants and other vegetation, that is threatening to overwhelm the restoration planting done in the SE corner of this property. Afterwards, maybe hike down to an overlook of Nookachamps Creek which flows through the woods. To bring: Sturdy hiking or mud boots, your favorite work gloves and a water bottle to refill.
