Ribbon cutting for the Robert M. Gates Skagti Vets Connect

Community Action of Skagit County is very proud to announce the May 15 ribbon cutting for the new Robert M. Gates Skagit Vets Connect to be located at 160 Cascade Place in Burlington. This new location continues the great work we have been doing for veterans with our partners since 1993. In this new space will be able to welcome more veterans and we will have the ability to bring in new partners who can offer additional services our clients need. In 2018 we served over 350 veterans. Robert M. Gates, the former US Secretary of Defense under presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, and his wife Becky are supporting this new center with a generous donation. Sec. Gates will be at the dedication ceremony and we will be celebrating his service to our country and community as well. We hope you can join us for this special event.
