Volunteers of America Basic Mediation Training

Basic Mediation Professional Training is an intensive 40 hours course that meets the Washington Mediation Certification training guidelines. Participants will learn the facilitative eight-stage mediation model, conflict theory and styles, mediator communication skills, interest-based negotiating, collaborative problem solving and the principles of conflict resolution. The training integrates lectures, presentations, demonstrations and coached mediation role plays.
