Meet the Buyers

Businesses interested in learning about government contracting are invited to attend Skagit County Meet the Buyers from 9 a.m. to noon March 23 at the Skagit Station Community Room. There is no cost to attend, but registration is requested. Learn first-hand from local purchasing departments what they are looking for in business relationships and bidding procedures. You'll meet key decision makers and discover the best methods of communication and how to qualify as a vendor. You'll learn about: • How and where agencies post opportunities • Types of bids and available project opportunities • Contract methods • Common mistakes made by suppliers Agencies participating in the event are Cascade Job Corps, Port of Skagit, Skagit PUD and Skagit Valley College.
