European Green Crab Molt Search Workshop

Learn how to keep an eye out for invasive European green crabs by participating in a new community science project called Molt Search, run by Washington Sea Grant's Crab Team & WSU Extension. This event will be hosted by Skagit Marine Resources Committee, Northwest Straits and Padilla Bay Reserve. At this Molt Search training event you'll be guided through the systematic Molt Search protocol for collecting crab molts and submitting your finds through MyCoast. You'll also learn about this new invasive and what's being done about it, as well as how to identify native and European green crabs. This event is free but registration is required. Registered attendees will receive an email ahead of the event with more specifics.
