"Insights from the Top" features a cross-sector dialogue with prominent women executives who are shaping Skagit Valley. Success is built on strategy, resilience, and the ability to pivot. In this dynamic panel, we go behind the scenes with three leaders who have navigated the complexities of their respective industries to reach the summit of their careers.

Meet Our Panelists

Flora Pérez-Lucatero | Children of the Valley As the founding Executive Director, Flora has led this vital after-school program since 2006. With a background in higher education supporting first-generation migrant students at Central Washington University, her career is rooted in a deep passion for service. The daughter of migrant farmworkers, she translates her family’s values into community, serving on numerous boards including the Skagit Valley College Board of Trustees and the Rotary Club of Mount Vernon.

Karin Baldwin | Quantum Construction Inc. The President and Owner of Quantum Construction since 2005, Karin is a Skagit County native whose work ethic was forged in local berry fields at age six. Her diverse entrepreneurial background includes owning a day spa and boutique retail stores. A dedicated community leader, Karin is the current President of the La Conner Chamber of Commerce, a past President of the Anacortes Chamber, and a former board member for the American Red Cross and the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.

Kristen Keltz | Skagit Tourism Bureau As CEO, Kristen leads efforts to promote Skagit County’s economic viability through sustainable tourism. Her career spans over three decades in hospitality, finance, and community leadership, including 13 years as the President/CEO of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of the US Chamber’s IOM program and past President of the Washington State Chamber of Commerce Executives, Kristen is a specialist in strategic planning, brand development, and workforce advocacy.

ABOUT SPEAKING OF WOMEN
Speaking of Women is a Skagit Valley Chamber program designed for women to connect with one another, empower each other and mentor upcoming business leaders.  Registration to the Speaking of Women Series includes eight monthly coffee chats held the second Wednesday of the month at 9:00 AM between January and November, two VIP Hours (May and October) and three empowerment panels:
